A hospital visit

Tomorrow (after being on the waiting list for 18 months) I'm having an operation to remove some of my prostate, as it's got too large, it's squashing my urethra and peeing is getting slower and slower.

It's my first ever hospital admission. Both exciting and scary.

I'll be back in a few days to tell you how it went.

  10. Hope it all went well. I assume from the lack of posting to say otherwise that you did get admitted and did have the op. That in itself is something these days.

    get well soon. x

  11. Just had an operation yesterday to put in an IV port. It was freaky. But I was somewhat prepared. The drugs can make the experience of surgery surreal. I noticed that as soon as they thought I'd gone under (not quite) they started handling my body like a piece of meat! I came to in a fog, but am just fine today (Go figure!)
    You'll be fine!

here you're in and out usually the same day whatever the surgery. like a fast food place. refreshing to know there are some places left where care is the main concern!
